I decided to go to university in England, so I came here to
English skills, and make some preparations for university. I have been
studying at Lewes Tertiary College for nine months and I believe it is a very
good college for overseas students. It provides many different courses and
my course in English Language Plus Art and Design. In this area, I have
learned things about art that you wouldn't find int he normal English classes.
The college also has many extracurricular activities, for example, tours to
famous places, film evenings, electives, welcome parties, international food
evenings and more. Also you will learn other different types of languages
from those opportunities and from extracurricular activities. I believe that
students should have more variety of subjects, not only English classes,
because they help you to learn a foreign language more extensively.
At the college all of the international students have their own tutors. When
you have problems, our tutor always helps you to find the solutions, and for
many reasons, the international students usually need someone to help look
after them, so I think the tutorial is a very important point for international
students, but this system is not usually used at many colleges or language
centres. LEWES is a small but lovely town, people are friendly, and it is
beautiful and tranquil, but it still has a leisure centre, pubs, and many events,
so you don't get bored and it is a good environment for students to study in.
I am quite happy with the life in LEWES and I think you will enjoy studying
at LEWES COLLEGE.
