explanation :  A blowout happens when a tire goes flat for some reason while you are driving.  It refers to the fact that the air 'blows out' of the tire.  A 'blowout' can be due to an accident or damage to the tire. 

e.g.  John was driving at 60 miles an hour and had a blowout. He almost lost control of the car!
